Prayers “R” Us August 1, 2008

Filed under: General — Amberly @ 1:49 pm

I was looking for a liitle guidance and inspiration…on the net no less…and came across this great website: Catholic Online. There are prayers here for just about anyone on anything. Here is one that I found particularly helpful:
Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to you. Allow Your healing Hand to heal me. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others; touch my heart with Your courage and infinite Love for all; touch my mind with Your Wisdom, and may my mouth always proclaim goodness and Your praise. Heal my hurts and wounds and teach me to rely on your love. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength and move on in faith, in trust and in love. Teach me to reach out to You in all my needs, and help me to lead others to You by my example. I place myself anew in your hands and acknowledge you as Master and Lord of my life.
Thank you Lord for You are love in my life.

Amen.

Her extreme dedication comprised of daily workouts, healthy eating habits, group workouts, and weekly exercise challenges against a team from a neighboring gym. Former Wildcats Lukasz Obrzut and Bobby Perry joined seniors Joe Crawford and Ramel Bradley at Scott High School in Northern Kentucky and played against some local high school players as well as Doug Pelfrey, Icky Woods, and David Fulcher. Icky sat most of the time & was talking S#@! the whole time from the sidelines and even challenged Obrzut to an Icky Shuffle-Off~~Hilarious!! Matthew of course got some cool new autographs~Click image for some pics

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY May 11, 2008

Filed under: General — Amberly @ 6:53 pm
In the United States, Mother’s Day started nearly 150 years ago, when Anna Jarvis, an Appalachian homemaker, organized a day to raise awareness of poor health conditions in her community, a cause she believed would be best advocated by mothers. She called it “Mother’s Work Day.”
“My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.”~ George Washington
